Brian ~ Since the founder of labor day was born here, we make a pretty big deal of it. :) But we don't get fireworks on July 4th as a result...tiny village, tiny budget. ha.
Hi Betsy!! Very glad you found my blog so I could find yours!! So nice to meet other mothers with ALL boys too! :-) I know what it's like to be soooo out numbered! lol
Nice pictures & glad you had a great weekend!
I'm looking forward to reading more of your post & following of course! I love your attitude about life! :-)
No parade for us. Since a third of our jobs are Federal paychecks, Labor contributions seem forgotten sometimes.
I was telling my husband about your boys and their ear covers. He shoots and has them for that purpose, but I thought he would be interested in the purpose they serve for your boys.
Ananchorage ~ Hi Gloria! Using those headsets has really improved our boys' quality of life. Alex uses them the most and it has freed up his hands so he can work at school. I just happened to stumble across that idea from another mother in a chat room and am so glad that I did!
jealous. we had no parade...no fireworks...we did eat together though and it was a good day...

ReplyDeleteOh ... how I miss the parades of my youth. I played flute in our band and it was a Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day tradition.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, hope you had a lovely Labor day.;)

However you celebrated, hope you enjoyed it, especially your boys, Betsy!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures - and it looks like you are enjoying some good weather at the moment. Send some over to us.
ReplyDeleteYour parade and fireworks seem like pure Americana. Looks like you and your family had a wonderful Labor Day!

Looks like a perfect weekend!
ReplyDeleteCoreen ~ Hi and thanks for stopping by! Loved your blog and I'm looking forward to getting to know you!
ReplyDeleteI judge a camera by how great it takes fireworks. It's a good camera. You have to love a parade.
ReplyDeleteWhat a glorious weekend here yes?? Oh my! I spy my boys in the one picture...the parade was a good one!
ReplyDeleteAnd, the fireworks were the best!
Sounds just wonderful...all that it should be! :D

Looks like everyone enjoyed the day! Ours was a very quiet one...much needed rest from all the earlier activities in the long weekend.

ReplyDeleteMan, you had me at grilled steaks! MMM!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the movie "Born on the Fourth of July."
