gorgeous blue skies. We've had cooler weather and today
I actually had to drink coffee to warm up!
I'm sure we'll have Indian Summer come in September,
but for now, it's a welcome change to have the house
opened up and the AC off.
on my trip. The clouds were low and amazing!
We don't have gorgeous mountains like Mmm out west, but we do have picturesque barns and farmhouses! And we have vast horizons of farmland with acres and acres of corn and soybeans. I thought these skies would be worthy of joining Sky Watch Friday! There are some jaw-dropping skies featured there...go take a look! I even got to enjoy the clouds from my perch in the auction truck!
"May I help you?" :)
Some beautiful shots, Betsy, today and yesterday.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm assuming you weren't actually driving when taking all those shots, right? Right???
Wow!! I love the morning glories in your header!!!
ReplyDeleteNice sky shots. I love a blue sky with those fluffy white clouds. I also love a good auction. Any good stuff there?
ReplyDeleteJealous of the humidity lifting! But I have noticed the past two weeks some amazing skies!
ReplyDeleteLove your shots! And thanks for reminding me of sky watch, I snapped one the other day so I might participate too!
Mr. Fox ~ well, shhh..yes, I was driving! But as you can see, not really much traffic to worry about. One hand still on the wheel at all times, I promise! :)
ReplyDeletebeautiful images,
ReplyDeletehappy Friday!
wow. you have the most amazing skies betsy...so crisp....
ReplyDeleteThat's the way our sky looked today too, and it was only 70 here...lovely!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy my Betsy, the views are fantastic. Don't worry, I do the same thing.....taking pictures while I drive.
ReplyDeleteThat's dangerous! The other day, I was on the road when some woman using her cell phone almost sideswiped my car. I dropped my Sausage McMuffin and spilled half my cup of coffee, but luckily, I didn't drop my cigarette, too!
ReplyDeleteMr. Fox ~ did the coffee burn you? Maybe you could sue the woman AND Micky D's! :)
ReplyDeleteJust a slight burn on the knee which was controlling the steering wheel while my hands were full. But thanks for the concern, doll!
ReplyDeletei could look at those clouds all day, so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely clouds. What part of Ohio do you live in?
ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to mention that I love the changes you've made to your layout. Really nice!
They do look awesome.
ReplyDeleteSydney - City and Suburbs
Magpie ~ I'm about an hour southwest of Columbus. :)
ReplyDeleteJ Bar ~ thank you...and thanks for the visit...I'll come see yours from Sydney, too. :)
ReplyDeleteIt th' first pic looks like th' two in th' middle are tryin' to join. Missed a similar op shot to-day :(
ReplyDeleteTo-day was a good "cloud-watch" day...
Wonderful snaps, Betsy :)
Such a scenic drive. The skies are gorgeous & the clouds are low, it feels you can reach it.
ReplyDeleteWonderful clouds Betsy...Love the drive with you. My dearest was born in Cinci. Ohio. Are you close? Thanks for visiting his new blog. It was funny I heard him pecking away tonight in his recliner...wonder what tomorrow will bring????
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely fluffy clouds. They make my heart sing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful clouds, Betsy! Ours, here in South Africa, have also been lovely recently and I love watching them moving in their different layers...
ReplyDeleteWasn't the day amazing???? And, today promises to be just like it! I understand we are back in the 90's next week so ENJOY it now!
ReplyDeleteHope your first three days of "free time" (and I use those words LOOSELY) were divine!
A great day for driving along the roads. I really enjoyed going along with you on this pleasant trip through your lens.
ReplyDeleteAwesome sky shots!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so envious of your perfect late summer day!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I am loving the cooler weather in my neck of the country too! Happy Weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh, that first picture especially makes me want to set off with a pack on my back and just wander.
ReplyDeleteLovely work!!! Thanks Betsy!!!
ReplyDeleteShey ~ hi and thanks for the visit! You're right, the clouds were very low...so fun!
ReplyDeleteLV ~ thanks for coming along! :)
ReplyDeleteRomulo ~ I'm glad I joined in...thank you!

Hey Betsy!
ReplyDeleteI'm coming your way thanks to the gift of jewels! Mine came in the mail and I had to check out who sent the wonderful card and note pad. I think I'll just hang around here for a while, read, and learn more about you and your family.
That sky is absolutely inspiring.
ReplyDeleteThat first pic looks like a picture postcard! The clouds are almost fake looking suspended like that!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, how did the summer round of shots go with the boys?
So . . . do you suppose "snapping photos" while driving has the same penalty as "texting" while driving? A perfect time of year none the less.
ReplyDeleteAlmost Mr Toast clouds there1 :) Glad you don;t use your knee like Sf but an actual hand. lol.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots.
ReplyDeleteBlue skies and the open road. Nothing better!
These are fantastic shots. This is my favorite time of year for clouds where I live too (NC).
ReplyDeletePS I should have said for clouds against blue skies. I love clouds anyway but the deep blue skies and clouds like you capture here from the road are my favorite kind.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous sky photos!!
ReplyDeleteNice sky shots an an auction as well that is my idea of a good day I love auctions any type cars cattle general goods but furniture is my all time favourite, cos I dealt in furniture and get a buzz from it. XXX Don
