A while back Sandy at Reluctant Entertainer
hosted a giveaway from Lisa Leonard
and I won! It was a hand stamped leaf Christmas
ornament! Well, I turned it into a charm for a
necklace and added a few trinkets...perfect for
March, don't you think? The shamrock is dried
and pressed...maybe it will bring me some luck! :)
I really should have worn it today as it poured
rain on me while I was out shopping AND I lost
a hubcap to the minivan! Ugh. LOL!

With talent like yours Betsy you could beat out a few old tin cans and fashion a new hubcap and decorate it with a few Spring flowers!

ReplyDeletePerfect for March.
I love how you have embellished it... I love green!
ReplyDeleteIt looks amazing....I remember seeing the picture of it when you won it! BTW....in your enlarged picture on this post, The Mister's name is is showing (I also remember how when you won it, you blocked it out!)...the charms must have shifted a bit from picture to picture.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the hub cap; hopefully you'll see it alongside the road on another trip on the same route :-)

ReplyDeleteCute charm necklace. I like the shamrock leaf. I have a shamrock plant that is doing real well..
ReplyDelete:) The Bach
That is so cool...I like the puffy heart and shamrock you added. Be sure to wear it next Wednesday for St. Pat's Day.
ReplyDeleteWe had pouring rain yesterday too, so decided to wait on our shopping. You are braver than us!
Bach and Cat ~ aww..how cute...you guys are on at the same time! :) Must be lunch hour time! Cat...not braver..just completely out of everything. ha.
ReplyDeleteI like it!
ReplyDeletea very creative way to use the Christmas ornament. you have a wonderful place here -- i feel like i've just visited a long lost friend at her home.
ReplyDeletewarm wishes and smiles,
I think the hub cap is the van's way of reminding you that #1 son won't be in college forever, and when he is done, the van would like to be retired. I would not be surprised to see one (non-essential) piece at a time depart in this manner until, honestly, you must let the whole thing go.
ReplyDeleteLovely charms.
Tracey ~ oh, you are TOO funny! Yes, bit by bit the van is departing...the wipers are 'possessed', the gas cap broke off, it's showing some rust, and now it's missing a hubcap. I'm almost embarrassed to drive it! But...it must last til tuition it done! ha! Oh my.
ReplyDeleteThe pressed clover is my favorite part of the necklace. So whimsical.
ReplyDeleteWe've had a lot of rain here this week too. It's pretty outside this afternoon. The stormy weather blew through this morning.
Lovely, creative necklace. I am making your pecan tarts this weekend! Yours looked so wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIt is really cute the way you changed it up.
ReplyDeleteI love it Betsy. I love her necklaces/ornaments. I'm having a necklace raffle on my blog to help with our travel to adopt Lydda. I would love for you to stop by to see them.
