Yes, that's Harry. Yes, he's sitting on the kitchen island.
Yes, he has his toes on a butter knife.
Yes, that's a very obnoxious Veggie Tales CD playing
in the background accompanied by his humming.
And yes, I have two more boys just like him.
Oh my....somebody feel sorry for me! LOL!
No worries...after recording, I made Harry
sit on the bar stool, cleaned island counter, put the
knife in dishwasher and turned down the volume.
Whew! Yes, you must have a sense of humor
to survive in this world! LOL!
Funny! We always laugh at this song, because my husband name is Bob, his brother is Larry and neither of them have much hair. They've been teased a time or two about this song.
ReplyDeleteOh Betsy!!!! That tune is a favorite around here too. And it would surprise me not at all to find one of my children on the counter. I am happy to see that Harry can enjoy himself. And it is great that you can have such a good sense of humor about it.
ReplyDeleteMari ~ that is too funny! It's like it was written for them!
ReplyDeletelol. too amazing...i lay on the counter often...nah, tara would never go for that...or using my toes...smiles.
ReplyDeleteOh me... hilarious! I'd say he gets points for creativity and you get double the points for patience.
ReplyDeletethis made me laugh . kids are endearing and funny...you have the PERFECT attitude B!
ReplyDeleteOnly you could make a hilarious video, show it to all of us and we all find it so funny.
ReplyDeleteYour everyday, would drive others crazy. But you see the beauty in everything and everywhere. This is why we love you.
Christine ~ oh thank you...you don't know how much I needed to hear that...I don't always see the beauty immediately, but give me a few minutes and I will find the courage to laugh instead of cry! LOL!
ReplyDeleteOh too funny !
ReplyDeleteI would have NEVER gotten away with something like that, my mum was a neat freak.
It's so endearing to see how you interact with your boys, where most would be pulling their hair out.
You're a good egg ;)
Brit ~ well, he didn't really get away with it. I did make him get down and wiped up all the surfaces. But my initial reaction was.."Oh my gosh...hee...where's my camera?"
ReplyDeleteAnything goes when kids are around. Having raised 3 kids, and now with 3 grandsons, I should know.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that you are LOLing shows what a great mom those boys have. More power to you and hey, maybe he will learn a new foot skill. You never know, it might make him famous.
ReplyDeleteOh my that was funny. God knew what he was doing giving your special boys you for a mom.
ReplyDeleteI miss my mom, she been gone for many years.. can I adopt you!!?
Someone else said it so well, we love you because of just this kind of post...
That was funny...and you are such a wonderful mother, yes I saw those rolls, God bless you! :D
ReplyDeleteOh...Betsy
ReplyDeleteThe things...
my 8 kids do or have done!
Isn't it something what they come up with to do.
Cowboy age 8...is in constant motion,
usually tapping or humming.
Thanks for sharing the video...
I may have to do some recording around my house. He,he
Mommy 2
Ah Betsy, that was funny. But lets face it, he has some truly lovely feet (foot).;)
ReplyDeleteHave a great Friday,
xo
Zuzana
You're amazing, truly. A friend has only one autistic 15yo son. You're amazing! Love and hugs...xa
ReplyDeleteI pick up stuff off the floor with my toes! lol
ReplyDeleteYou really have a great attitude and spirit in the way that you find the humor in situations. Much respect!
LOL! A good sense of humor is an invaluable tool for navigating life successfully! LOL!
ReplyDeleteWanda ~ you absolutely can adopt me...but only if you're the mom and grandma...that's what we're missing over here!
ReplyDeleteJulie ~ yes, I got the rolls made...but that was while they were at school! haha.
ReplyDeleteI just want to play "This little piggy went to market . . . " with those toes. I don't supposed he'd go for it though :)?
ReplyDeleteBut by the grace of God, Betsy!...
ReplyDeleteI have to say that foot movement was looking rather poetic, if a foot can be poetic, that is:)...
...I've heard that song more than a few times. That video was a favorite with my son but Katie( aka Rosebud) is more entranced with The Wiggles than with Veggie Tales...
Rebecca ~ The Wiggles? Oh my...no, I can't stand them...not even for one minute! haha...they just push me over the edge! LOL. My condolences to you. hee!
ReplyDeleteCorners ~ actually he'd love that and try his best to say it along with you!
ReplyDeleteSo this is hands down the cutest thing I've seen ALL week!
ReplyDeleteHarry and Clee would be bffs, I think. But instead of Veggie Tales (we are finally over that phase) we have They Might Be Giants Here Come's The 123's.
Ps: Fiel LOVES Fox News too, and was horrified I put that on my blog. And there's the reason why I did it. Clever girl.
Betsy,
ReplyDeleteHow funny!
There is always something going on at your house! I love it!
Thanks for the reminder to keep things in perspective and keep our sense of humor! :))
ReplyDeleteThat was adorable and I was thinking God really knows what he's doing -he only gives special children to very special people or that has been my observation in life. I love that you got the camera for the moment.
ReplyDeleteBe blessed! You are a blessing!
I just LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT!
And, because I count you dear...I feel terribly, terribly sorry for you surrounded by all those MEN!!!
Just like a MAN to sit ON the bar and put his toes ON the utensils!!
They are all charming though!
And you my friend had the wonderful sense of humor to record it and share it with us!!!! Harry was sernading you while you made those delicious looking rolls.....
ReplyDeleteOr "serenading"
ReplyDeleteHarry's toes are clean and charming. I am impressed.
ReplyDeleteoh betsy....too funny..
ReplyDeletea sense of humor..o, yes, my dear, o, yes......
kary and buddy
xxx
Betsy, dear one, a post like this can help more people than you can imagine!
ReplyDeleteHarry's humming was very harmonic and he has a very agile foot. It must have been comfortable to lounge up on the kitchen island.
:-)
Otin ~ me, too! haha...the Mister always laughs at me when I do that.
ReplyDeleteIf you hadn't outlined the background to that film, I'd have thought it was a clever 'installation artwork'! As it is, I echo everyone else's thoughts - funny, yes - and brave and patient, yes, you are! Betsy, there's a little gift on my blog for you today.
ReplyDeleteBetsy, I love the video. Wasn't it Harry that unwound all the dental floss? I imagine it's never a dull moment at your house. I have to say, He wasn't hurting anyone and it was funny.
ReplyDeleteYou are a sweetie for your kind comments on my blog.
Trish ~ yes, that is true..Harry did unwind a whole new box of dental floss one time. ha...I forgot about that!
ReplyDeleteYou're a "called woman of purpose" for sure. I just stopped by to see how things are going. Take care and take courage.
ReplyDeleteOh my stars! ha ha ha Oh Betsy, I lurve ya!
ReplyDeleteSweet, Utterly.
ReplyDeleteAs christine says, "But you see the beauty in everything and everywhere. This is why we love you."
--How very true indeed.
now, if coudl only get mom place herself in the photo.
Mmm ~ ah, yes...but then who would run the camera if i got in the picture? ha.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet encouragement...which is most certainly a gift of yours. :)
You are ONE AMAZING mother and women. You should be on the cover of one of those family magazines, as you set such a tremendous example to all of us. Seriously. Wow!
ReplyDeleteGreat clip... he was having a grand time, I'm sure! :) The Bach
