Not me! LOL! But I suppose if you've slept with your
two brothers since the womb, you're used to anything.
Notice Alex has been sleeping with his head at the foot
of the bed lately. Whatever works, right?
That's Harry, by the way, in the middle...and Spencer's hand.
Have I mentioned that when we separated them into their
own cribs, that they held hands through the bars as they slept?
That is so sweet and what you wrote makes it better!
ReplyDeletei can't think of anything more comforting than the thought of sleeping my womb mates. joined for life, they are!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about the cribs and hand-holding. What a neat story. I sure hope Alex's foot stays on his side of the bed!
ReplyDeleteYou know, when I was pregnant on bed rest with the girls, I would lay sideways or upside-down in the bed. It made the bed feel different on my bruised hips, (since I wasn't allowed to lay on my back and only my sides). Maybe Alex is just getting out of the grooves he's made in the mattress and it's more comfy that way. :)
Julie ~ womb mates...I love that! ha!
ReplyDeleteoh what a tender memory ...crib hand holding!
ReplyDeleteSweet story. Children are so precious when they are sleeping.
ReplyDeleteA story to melt the heart of even an old querulous grump like me.
ReplyDeleteThey sure look comfortable. and sweet.
ReplyDeletelike 3 peas in a pod
but I am really glad no one wants to sleep with their hand on my head. :)
Heh, heh! I'll be posting something similar to this( but quite a bit later )...and when I was in the Navy, you learn to sleep pretty much anywhere( and I do mean anywhere! )
ReplyDeleteAnd tell me they've seen this?-LOL! Happy Labor Day Betsy :)
Julie said it all..Womb Mates!
ReplyDeleteVery cute.
So, do you guys have 2 or 3 beds pushed together in one room for them?! So sweet how the instinctive need for closeness is still there after 15 years.
ReplyDeleteAh, what a relaxing picture!
ReplyDeleteI used to hold hands with my sister too, when we both were still sleeping in cribs. It was only for a duration of a few months, as the age difference is 3 years, but I do remember it.;))
That is so cute. It's nice to see siblings be close. Who says people with Autism don't want to be close to or need the comfort other people?!
ReplyDeleteMy son, even in the sweltering heat of summer has to sleep with the covers over his head! I'll go in and take them off his head (how can he breath!) and in his sleep he will pull them right back on!
I love this so much! Sleeping angels.
ReplyDelete"they held hands through the bars as they slept" just melts my heart. Do they sleep throughout the night in each others company? I'm starting to think about getting a queen size bed for Clee and Andrew to share. Clee loves it when someone is laying down next to him and seems to sleep a lot better.
Alan ~ I have a hard time believing that you are an old grump!
ReplyDeleteChristian ~ we have two twins pushed up against each other to make a king size space. We tried separating them many times...the cribs with the hand holding, then the youth beds...we should have only bought one because they all piled in one and left two empty! Then a set of bunks with a twin...they all piled in the top bunk! And then 3 twin size beds with a few feet space in between. You guessed it...they all piled into one bed. So we've given up and pushed them together. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a touching post ... and wonderfully uplifting.
ReplyDeleteHI BOYS!!!
cute pic. held hands through the crib...that is awesome! there is definitely an amazing bond there. hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteBetsy ~~ this is the sweetest picture and post I've ever read.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of womb mates...
The crib story melts my heart!!!
What a special family you are...
Love and Hugs
Wanda
How sweet! Did you ever read the story about the twins that were put in separate beds in the nursery after birth, and wouldn't quit crying? When put in same bed they instantly stopped.....
ReplyDeleteGuess that special bond NEVER goes away...
This is so precious, Betsy! I have a picture somewhere of my four kids when they were young, sleeping in our bed, all their limbs tangled. I have to find that!!
ReplyDeleteThat last sentence really put a lump in my throat, how they held hands through the cribs. Oh my...how sweet!!
Have a great holiday weekend!! :-)
xoxo
Janie
Blondie ~ I cried when it happened...not just because it was so sweet, but I felt so terrible in separating them! :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful picture Betsy. Are they identical twins? They must have such a special connection that we can only guess at.
ReplyDeletesorry I meant triplets of course!
ReplyDeleteA Model Of Closeness! Lovely .but, yes, I dont think I would rest with another hand on my head!
ReplyDeleteHave A Fine Sunday.
Cinnamon ~ two are identical and one is not. Harry, in the middle is not identical, but he looks like he could be!
ReplyDeletelol...awww. How sweet :)
ReplyDeleteMy auties have to sleep in the same room or they can't sleep. I get strange looks that I have a boy and a girl sharing a bedroom. But that is how we all get some peace at night :)
Of course your guys are SO ENDEARING!
ReplyDeleteHolding hands as babies but even now sleeping in a HEAP yet sleeping peacefully! I love the hand on the head but not as much as I love Alex's legs/foot at the head of the bed!
That is what I call a PIG PILE!
Isn't it wonderful that the boys find comfort in each other?
ReplyDeleteOh I'd hate to see that foot go flying into Harry's face! Funny picture though.
ReplyDeleteThat is sooooo precious that they held hands. Beautiful!
AWW!! How sweet! How does one sleep like that?
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny and sweet, Betsy! And I loved the story about them holding hands thru the cribs.
ReplyDeleteno I don't think you ever mentioned that they held hands through the cribs. what an expression of love. what a wonderful memory of your wonderful children.
ReplyDeleteThey are strongly bonded it seems. And yes, whatever works! Right!
ReplyDeleteawwww. hee.
