Postcard Friendship Friday

This is the only vintage postcard in my collection that
was actually written to me! Needless to say, it's one of my favorites!
Postcard Friendship Friday is hosted by the lovely Marie of
Vintage Postcards. Go check her out...oh, and her website
is really cool, too!

  1. Hi Betsey,
I dropped by to visit your postcards but I wanted to let you know that I'm really impressed by the photography on your site.
I do a lot of nature photography but I've never developed the knack for taking interesting still life photos of daily life.
I'm studying your site for clues!

  12. Our grandma was such a sweetie!!! I wish she had lived long enough to meet our husbands and children. She would have smothered all of them with lots of wonderful unconditional love, God rest her beautiful soul.

  23. Chris Overstreet ~ Oh, I hear you! I did have to chuckle at your comment, though, as my grandpa in his later years would send me things in the mail and use antique stamps for the postage! I would just cringe as I received the packages and see those gorgeous old stamps...now with cancellation ink all over them! Oh well...he was sentimental with some things and not with others!

  24. Happy Easter Betsy! How nice to have your grandmother's sweet note on the back of such a cute postcard. It's nice to have her handwriting preserved in such a nice way too.

  25. Greetings! For months now I've seen we have the same bloggin' friends so I decided to come and visit with you today to see what else we have in common. A LOT! My nephew has Austism as well, full blown symptoms since he was an infant nearly 20 years ago and that's when it was a very new thing. He currently goes to UC Davis in California on a monthly basis as he was one of their original patients and it's amazing to see the changes through the years. I understand the struggles you are faced with and even more excited to see Jesus is your rock!

And the food recipes you share! Oh yea sister, I've got a lot of reading to do here! ha ha

    Have a blessed weekend!
