Those of you with special needs kids know all about
Alternate Assessment at school around this time
of year. For part of Alex's testing, he was to
show that he is able to sort trash from recyclables.
Anybody that knows Alex and his obsession
with the discarding of all trash knows that he would
ace this activity for sure! We had to submit
pictures and chart his progress for a few day....
No problem! He's also great about making sure
all the coats and bookbags are hung up after school...
That good guy ALEX!! You KNEW he would ACE that test!!!
ReplyDeleteGood job, Alex!! That cracks me up that you have to document things with photos?? My word - what do the parents do that aren't so "with it"? My youngest is in the process of being diagnosed with ADD, so I may be in for some of this alternate assessment myself ... I am not sure I am ready.

That's fantastic. You are obviously very proud of him. Well done Alex.
ReplyDeleteThere aren't many times in our children's school year that we don't have to face an assessment of some sort.

ReplyDeleteGreat job, Alex! You are keeping it green and organized. Super!!!
ReplyDeletegirlsinwhitedresses ~ they could have completed all the assessments at school, but they get more points if they can show that they can do the learned activities out of the classroom as well.
ReplyDeleteSuza ~ I'll have him stop at Willows and then on up to you! But you have to promise to give him back! :)
ReplyDeleteVery conscientious. Well done! And by the way, I love the colours on your walls...
ReplyDeleteI promise I will send him back with a full tummy and some treats for the clan. He is such a cutie-pie... but then again, so are all of your five men!
ReplyDeleteAlex, you are such a wonderful person. Sounds like you got it together when picking up things. Thanks for helping your mom out. ReplyDeleteWhat is it about your boys that is SO endearing?! You always warm my heart with your stories about them.
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Alex! Keep up the good work and come teach my boys how to do a thing or two!
I just realized on your sidebar that you like NASCAR. My husband is crazy about it and we will be all ready for Sunday. Who's your guy? Do all your guys enjoy it? My husband likes Jr. and my granddaughter likes Kasey Kaine. I like Kyle Petty, but he is isn't racing anymore I guess. I met him here at my job a couple of years ago. He is a cutie in person. I have to figure out who my new guy will be.
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy, just answering from your comment at my place re. hedgehogs. I never knew anyone with one until we got ours. Now, it seems like hedgehog owners are coming out of the woodwork everywhere :) They're nice little "companion animals".
