Dreamy

A few posts ago when I was listing 6 unspectacular things about myself, I mentioned that I have a recurring dream about a college class that I have forgotten to attend. By recurring, I mean I probably dream it once a year or so. Strider and Marcia mentioned that they have had that dream before, too! It is a fairly common one. I looked up the interpretation at http://www.dreammoods.com/ and this is what they said.... "To dream that you forgot to attend a class you signed up for, indicates your anxieties and fear of failing. You may also be lacking self-confidence in your ability to handle new responsibilities or projects. " Interesting! Next time I have this dream, I'll be sure to pay attention to what is going on in my life at the time! This website is great and I've checked it quite often. Some of the more popular dreams people have are that their teeth fall out or that they show up some where in public without any clothes on...I've had both of these dreams before, too! Some dreams are easy to interpret....I often dream that my nonverbal autistic triplets start talking! I dreamed it just this week! That one is easy to figure out....it's a strong desire of mine! Others are more vague and really fun to look up and see what your subconscience is thinking about! So if you have a dream you would like interpreted, check out this website and see what it all means!

  3. I have always been fascinated by dreams and have a few books that offer interpretations. I will definitely look into this site.

I, too, have dreams about tests for courses I never took... and when I was a performer, I would have horrendous dreams (more like nightmares) where I would arrive at rehearsal having learned an entirely different opera than everyone else was singing... different language, different movement, etc. I would wake up in a cold sweat, realize it wasn't true and gingerly try to go back to sleep. Oy!

  5. Suza ~ dreams are really fascinating, I agree. Willow is the one that got me interested in them. She, like you, has a great dream encyclopedia, and she blogged about it a few months back. I have found that my dreams are usually connected to some kind of stress in my life. Learning a completely different opera would definitely be considered a nightmare! Much worse than forgetting to go to a class! LOL

  7. I appreciate you finding out about the dream. I was one that have that same dream several times a year. I constantly have those feelings of anxiety about my job and I guess that's what my brain translates it into. Very interesting. I love seeing my mother in dreams. She's been gone 30 years in December and I find it so comforting too.

  14. My hubby made me promise not to ever tell anyone my dreams...something about men in white coats taking me to study...suffice it say they are WEIRD and frequent. I sometimes have a serial dream, where the first time I visit somewhere, it is all new, but another dream is like going back again, etc. When I was young I thought I lived two lives, my other one when i was asleep here, and this one was like a dream there, because my dreams were so vivid.

  15. Rosezilla ~
Me too! I often say if I wrote my dreams down, I'd make it big in Hollywood! Plots I couldn't think up if I tried while awake! Often invloving random famous people, actually. Ellen, most often lately. :) Good post, Betsy!

  16. Rosezilla ~ my hubby has WEIRD dreams! But he usually can't remember them in the morning. If he's thrashing around in bed and I wake him up I always make him tell me right then what he was dreaming because it is usually SO funny and I know he won't remember in the morning. Very entertaining...yes, we wouldn't want the men in white coats coming to take you away! :)

  17. Christy ~ Ellen? OH my....you must do a post! We won't call the men in white coats...promise! ;)
