Willow ~ I have the best memories of that pool! We had the little foot washing bucket beside the pool so we wouldn't get any grass clippings in the clean water! And we were really good at playing "shark". :)
The big soak. Water was condemned by the Roman Catholic Church for bathing, especially, the nuns were eventually forbidden to bath with the males or soak themselves together as too many nuns were coming up pregnant. I kid you not.
I did a lot of research for a story about bathing and discovered these little known facts.
Everytime I see a backyard swimming pool I am reminded of them.
That pool looks so inviting! My kids both love water. David loves to play scuba diver and flips and spashes like mad. Katie literally kicks and screams when I get her out of the bathtub so a pool is heaven for her...
Rebecca ~ our boys have always loved water, too...even their baths. Alex does hand stands in the pool! He hasn't done it yet this year...I'll have to get a picture.
Harry's looks very content...and cool! So refreshing to have such a nice pool to swim in, and especially to have a chance to have it to have it to your self!
Oh my Betsy...the water looks heavenly and refreshing...You are so right...having the pool to one's self is very relaxing indeed... I can only imagine the laughter and splashing when they're all together...let the fun begin :)
Ahh...that water looks refreshing. It's just like the little blue pool you and I had as kids, only about 100 times larger. :)
