You are a magpie like me when it comes to snatching up vintage things. I have a weakness for vintage wicker, too. Speaking of wicker hampers, I picked up a set of three lined nesting ones in the Sam's Club sale corner for $13! One of the lids had a broken piece which I craftily covered with brown marker. Love those bargains.
It's been quite a while since I've seen the bottom of our hamper! You need to celebrate for sure :) I like the title of this post...yesterday afternoon, DH, DD, DS, myself & the 3 dogs were all flopped on our bed & the song from the 70's started running through my head: "Happiness is three kinds of ice cream..." ~ I think it was the Peanuts gang. Anyway, DH had come back from his trip to Georgia & it was just felt to good to all be together!
I get to the bottom of my hamper... every 2 days (except for that little Pound Puppy that I'm not sure how to go about cleaning). What's up with that?! Wouldn't it be nice if it could all just stay clean?!
:)
Ah, the joys of a house full of boys (and a girl who'd rather put it in the hamper than bother to fold it and put it away!)!
Tess ~ I haven't heard that song in years and years! How fun that your whole family and 3 dogs were flopped on your bed....good family moment! The empty hamper didn't last long at all.... :(
LOVE your hamper! And I also love getting to the bottom of the laundry pile, too. I've been working on that today, too, and it feels so good to see that pile disappearing!
Where is my maid? I agree. Don't you just feel great when you fold the last item and put it away. A great feeling for sure. The hamper: what a find, Betsy; and the right price. I'm anxious to get out in my back yard and start working! Those little love birds to the right are so cute! :)

ReplyDeleteThat is a real find. Congratulations. Now, if only clothes could fold themselves....life would be perfect, no?
ReplyDeleteWillow ~ I love that little bargin corner at Sams! You got a neat find there!
ReplyDeleteLL ~ yes, if only they could fold themselves! I was just glad to see the bottom ~ that doesn't happen very often! I felt a need to celebrate!

ReplyDeleteOh, girl I'm right there with you tonight. Just a little while ago I finished folding today's 3 loads. For the moment the hamper is empty!
