Well, here we are at the end of our RAK month!
Thank you to everyone that participated!
I hope you had as much fun as I did!
At the beginning of the week I made up a stack of these cards.
I attached a Hershey's Hug to each one with double sided tape.
And since the weather is so awful with freezing rain and snow,
I slipped each into a plastic sandwich bag. I put the stack into my
purse and everywhere I went this week, I slipped on under the
windshield wiper of the car parked next to mine.
This was one of the ideas I shared on our inspiration post last month
and I thought it was such a simple, fun thing to do!
It took just a few minutes of planning but I got to do an RAK for
quite a few people instead of just one big one.
If you posted about an RAK you did this week, please
link up below and thanks so much for participating!
The link will be open until Saturday, 5:00 PM EST.
And please visit the others who joined in!
♥
Aw - I love your random kisses! xxxxx
ReplyDeleteOops - hugs not kisses! How sweet.
ReplyDeleteyes, hugs!
DeleteI'd like one please.... maybe even two.....(sigh)
Deletelol....two hugs, coming up! :)
DeleteHey...you might need to redo your link...it didn't work for me. You can delete it and do it over. I think maybe you used the url to your blog instead of the specific post and the linky didn't accept it.
DeleteYou may have to delete... I tried to no avail. But thanks for letting me know... I'll re-link in a few.
DeleteThere is a little trash can in front of your name and the #1. Just click on that.
Deleteha. how cool would it be if you got one of those cards under your wiper
ReplyDeletefrom someone else...making its way back to you...
Yes, that would REALLY be fun!
DeleteLovely RAK, Betsy ~ you hit a lot of people that day with your kindness and I can just imagine their surprise when they discovered their little treat with those loving words. I bet they were lifted and it made their day and they are bound to be kind to others after that . . . . :)
ReplyDeleteI hope so...and a little chocolate probably didn't hurt, either! ha. :)
DeleteA little elf . . . . haha! . . aww!
DeleteAnd choccie is great to have too . . . :)
lol....Tinker Bell, perhaps? ha.
DeleteSuch a great idea! I know you blessed many with this RAK.
ReplyDeleteIt was kind of fun placing them on cars! I felt like a little elf! ha.
DeleteWhat a nice thing to do!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun...little cost and little effort. I did kind of like having them ready in my purse, too.
DeleteOh, I loved that one. It inspires me to keep going! I think the anonymity of it makes it even better. Trying to decide whether to post mine tonight or in the morning.
ReplyDeleteYes, I like the anonymity and doing it to complete strangers. Maybe it's the sneaky part that makes it so fun. haha. The link is open until Saturday, so no rush!
DeleteAn awesome thing to do
ReplyDeleteGot a lot in too
Quite the way to end
This years RAK trend
The adventure was fun
DeleteEnjoyed it a ton.
Hope it made someone smile
as the snow stretches for miles. ha.
Stretches it does indeed
DeleteAt many a feed
I still like it's glow
DeleteI'm the only one, though.
Soon it will be hot
and we'll all sweat a lot
and complain about the heat
and I'll remind you that winter is neat!
I love this one! I think you spread joy to a lot of people!
ReplyDeleteThis was an easy way to reach a few with little effort. And it was fun, too!
DeleteJust a note... when I try to view Don's RAK from the link here, I get a message that says, "Your current account does not have access to this page." And yet I was able to visit his last week. Strange. Anyway, I'm sure he had a lovely RAK... whatever it was!
ReplyDeleteOh - just noticed your messages with him above... so maybe I will see it later. And I also meant to say how brave you were taking the boys by yourself today - hope it all worked out! Did you have extra coffee? :-)
ReplyDeleteTheir appointment went well and I survived, too! ha.
DeleteGood - I'm glad.
DeleteI would like to try your RAK too, sometime. Such a great idea and you can do so many! The only thing is that in the city people can be quite suspicious of anonymous food gifts - in case it's been tampered with and, unfortunately, some crazy things have happened. But I think I could do it here in my condo building and hopefully people would feel safe to try. I do like the anonymity of it. Perhaps something else along those lines will occur to me.
Hopefully since these candies are still wrapped, my recipients won't be suspicious....
Delete:-)
DeleteIt had to be a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteYes, it really was...might have been my favorite!
DeleteBetsy, your RAK is divine!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great and lovely idea!
Thanks for organising this adventure.
Keep in touch
Have a nice Friday
Thank you, Manu. I really enjoyed your entry each week. Thanks for joining in!
DeleteThe most simpliest act can be the most thoughtful. I am going to cooy you and put a few "Hugs" in my purse! Thanks for the inspiration you give me by everything you do. God bless you!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rose! I'm so glad you joined in...it was great to meet you, too!
DeleteLove. love. love those kisses, Betsy! Thank you so much for this adventure. I'm thinking it will not end this week... blessings and hugs ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteI hope it doesn't end...it would be fun to keep going and not forget the little things that can mean a lot to people!
DeleteWhat a wonderful surprise for the recipients! I know I would be smiling and encouraged to find a note like that underneath my windshield wiper.
ReplyDeleteI do try to smile while out and about. Smiles are like hugs from strangers, dontcha think?
I do think that, and smile and say hello to everyone. Most smile back...a few look at me like I'm crazy. ha.
DeleteBoy am I running behind this week. I love that you took an idea and went with it. How fun to find that little word of encouragement and a Kiss. I don't think I want to wait till next time to do this. I just got mine posted. Busy week as we have to be re-certified each year to make sure we qualify for the Gov. Tax Credit Senior Housing here at Villa Ramona. Lots of paper work to gather. Our appointment is this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteOh, you're not behind here...the link is open through Saturday. Hope you pass your qualification...I know you're not wanting to move any time soon! haha.
DeleteClever and heart felt RAK.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Terra. Easy to do and kind of fun having them ready to go in my purse!
DeleteSweet!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend..
Cheers!
Linda :o)
You, too! :)
DeleteI wonder how many people actually ate the chocolate. We live in such suspicious times, I am sure there are some who would throw it out for fear it was tainted :)(or perhaps I am the only one who thinks like that..lol). A lovely act of kindness none the less.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea!!! So simple but surely put a smile on people's faces. :)
ReplyDeleteMy RAK for Week 4 was just a wee one. My post person is often very thoughtful and tries to leave my parcels outside my door instead of me having to schlep to the post office for them. So I left a little thank you and a treat in my mailbox for him/her.
ReplyDeleteI think the other thing that our RAKs bring to mind is how often people do things for me. Offering a seat, paying a compliment, letting me go before them in a queue... those sorts of things. I so appreciate it and always make sure they know I'm grateful. It's all about give and take, isn't it?
Thank you so much for hosting the RAK theme for the past month, Betsy. Even though I know we all try to do acts of kindness when we can... it certainly helps to have a reminder and to see the other great things that people come up with. And what I’ve done is put a little RAK reminder in my calendar on the 15th of each month just to spur me on to do something kind for someone. Thanks again! xx
