I saw this on Pinterest almost a year ago and saved it because
I laughed out loud when I saw it! So cute.
I'm not planning on having a giveaway, but I am planning
to do my Random Acts of Kindness 2015! I had less than 12 people
participate last year, but that's ok. I'm really doing it for myself and
if anyone else wants to join in, that's great! The more the merrier!
If you don't know what Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) are,
they are simple things you do for someone else just to
let them know that someone cares. You spread a little sunshine!
They can be anonymous (my favorite) or done for someone openly.
They can be for people you know or complete strangers!
They can cost absolutely nothing or you can put a little monetary
value on it. It's entirely up to you.
Last year the point was brought up about doing these things to
brag about ourselves, saying "Look how great I am!" But really,
it isn't that at all. The acts are so simple and from the heart and I
think sharing them is a fun way to inspire each other.
This world needs more love and there is nothing wrong with
encouraging each other to spread some around.
Not only that, it's just plain fun to do!
If you want to join in, mark four Fridays on your
calendar starting with the 13th. We will post one RAK that we did
each week and link back here to my blog so we can all share
together. We will post on Feb 13, 20, 27 and March 6th.
This Friday, I'll post a list of ideas for some inspiration!
I hope you'll join in!
♥
You can count me in, Betsy. Love the idea and I agree it is so good to help others.
ReplyDeleteI'll try to think of some good ideas . . . . but I know your's will be inspired . . . . . :)
Crumbs . . . . I'm first again . . . lol
DeleteIt will be fun! Glad you're joining in!
DeleteHey, girl . . . . how could not . . . . yes it will be fun . . :)
Deletewonder if Vince will return . . . . lol
I still hear from Vince by email. I doubt he would come back to my blog, though....he wasn't well received by everyone...kinda sad. He did do the challenge...can't remember what he did exactly, but I do remember he was hilarious.
DeleteYes, I do remember he did some kind things to an elderly guy as his RAKs. . . :)
DeleteLove me some Ryan Gosling. I may be old but I'm not dead yet. :-) I believe that's his dog who's called George. He was a rescue. Lynne in NC
ReplyDeleteA rescue? I didn't know that. Aw. Makes Ryan even more attractive! :)
DeleteAnd George is adorable, isn't he? Such personality in that face! Aw.
DeleteI love being reminded and encouraged to do random acts of kindness. I'm in!

Yay! We had a lot of fun last year. I'm glad you're in. I need reminders, too, so this is timely for me.
DeleteI've already done my first RAK this year. You should be receiving it any time now, but it's not for you, it's for the boys. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteThat's one of the things I love about you....all those kind little things you do for them!
DeleteOh, go on! You're making me blush now.
Deletehaha...you look good in red! :)
DeleteCount me in..... I'm always a kind soul anyway though....
ReplyDeleteYes, you are! But it's good to share a few things you do! Thanks, Don! It will be great!
DeleteThe idiot who said about bragging
ReplyDeleteMaybe has a brain that is lagging?
Pffft after last year's super duper fright
I will lock my door and hide when this comes to light hahaha
haha...you would be better off leaving a bag of used cat litter
Deleteto that man who was not a winner.
lol now that I can do
DeleteChuck it right from the balcony at my zoo
I really enjoyed doing this last year. I might join a time or two, but I don't want to commit, because I have a wedding in the middle of it, so I'm going to be a little bit busy. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, that IS a good excuse! I hope you can squeeze in a time or two!
DeleteI'm not sure how many I would have to do!! Is that a stupid question? Just do it and post every Friday that you listed? I love the idea...I need to GIVE. And I truly believe it's not to brag...we make someone happy and we feel worthwhile. Win-win!
ReplyDeleteJane xxx
Just one a week. You have all week to do one, then post about it on Fridays and link up here as with any Mr Linky party!
DeleteI loved this last year even though I don't think I ever ended up mentioning to you what I did. But it's nice to be reminded and even though I tend to do RAKs fairly often it's great to have it uppermost in one's mind for a few weeks. I am glad you are doing it again! And there are so many things - little and big - that make a difference in someone's life.
ReplyDeleteYou can always tell in the comment section on Fridays what you did! That would be great!
DeleteSo glad you are doing this again. It's really a wonderful experience. I'm in!!
ReplyDeleteIt really is....the giver gets blessed just as much!
DeleteBetsy, ok I'm in... I guess it's a lovely idea!
