Another wonderful cat you have there, Betsy, and she brings up so many memories. I had a male named Oliver with the same markings, green grape eyes (Thompson seeded, instead of Thompson seedless, grapes.) :-) And the pink nose and inner ears. I can tell she's so sweet and probably purrs a lot. Oliver was sorely lacking in that department. Lynne in NC
green grape eyes...what a great description! She is beautiful...a really nice combination of colors and markings. She's very quiet and sweet...extremely shy. She does purr, though and loves to be scratched and petted. She lays like this on my desk and looks at me until I stop and give her attention. haha.
I love the name Oliver. I'll have to remember that one for the next kitty that comes along!
Great shot of Grey! Isn't the structure of cats eyes remarkable. Notice the iris shape. They are vertical slits and when the light dims they move apart almost like curtains unlike our eyes when the pupils become uniformally larger as the light dims or if two people become romantically attracted.
Think I read recently that the ratio 69:52 seems quite relevant. One of these mathematical thingumies! Well some of us have work to do tomorrow so time to turn in - it's Wednedsay so I am gardening. Good night
I see your violets! I am still waiting for mine :o( I like to call them Jolly-jump-ups! Your cats are really beautiful...i fed my daughters cats today...took a few shots! Awful weather here...but...NO tornadoes...thank goodness! Enjoy your evening! Cheers! Linda :o)
Oh, I love those little johnny jump ups! Their sweet pansy faces! I have just a few wild ones..they haven't come up yet. But I buy pots of them at the garden center...one of my favorites!
No tornadoes here...but we're getting the after effects of those storms with the thunder and rain...
I think you and I...are the only lovers of Jolly-jump-ups! I am going to....for sure....do a garden tour tomorrow! Having my son, Erika and Miss V for dinner tomorrow...Lissa and hubby spa-ing it for a few days! Lucky ducks!!
She is beautiful. I do love a nice healthy cat on my lap. Poor Oreo had been kept outside since the mess he deposited on Hannah's bed Saturday evening. He's always been such a good boy too.
He's been sickly the past year and leaves little pools of puke on the floor often. I feel bad on one hand, and on the other it's nice to know James won't be stepping in anything in the morning.
She's beautiful >^..^< And I love your header pic!
ReplyDeleteviolets in the backyard...I know they are considered a weed, but I have a flower bed just for them. ha

ReplyDeleteI think its permanent. ha.

Is that how it works? I'm going to have to look at my pupils. ha.

DeleteShe is beautiful. I do love a nice healthy cat on my lap.
ReplyDeletePoor Oreo had been kept outside since the mess he deposited on Hannah's bed Saturday evening.
He's always been such a good boy too.
Aw...was it his first offense? Maybe he was just sick and it isn't going to happen again.
DeleteHe's been sickly the past year and leaves little pools of puke on the floor often. I feel bad on one hand, and on the other it's nice to know James won't be stepping in anything in the morning.
DeleteThat sounds like round worms. You can get an over the counter med for that...I ordered it online. Both problems could be related to that, actually.
DeleteSuch pretty green eyes, It really does look like cosmetic eye liner.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it? She's such a girlie girl, too. :)
DeleteLove your new header (such colour) and isn't she a lovely girl. Deb
ReplyDeleteI just laughed getting over to your blog. Our pictures are almost identical!
DeleteIsn't Deb's blog awesome?
DeleteA fellow Canadian.....
Yes! Her cats are beautiful!
DeleteWish I could put it on so evenly! She is beautiful. Love the violet header - so fresh.
ReplyDeleteShe must have very steady paws. On the other hand, I noticed she leaves her eyebrows wild and natural!
DeleteI do too!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't she lovely?
DeleteShe sure has cute down
ReplyDeleteThere at your kitty town
Header is nice and even too
Much better at your zoo lol
Was I stirring your OCD
Deletewith a lopsided group of girlies?
lol.....
lol just a bit
DeleteBut I got over it
I admire you photographs. They are always so crisp and clear.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Andy! I'm trying to be like you, of course! :)
DeleteI wonder where she buys it? The eyeliner I mean.
ReplyDeleteAt Kitty Kosmetics, of course! lol....
DeleteAwww, she's adorable!
ReplyDeleteIsn't she? So sweet, too!
DeleteShe's so beautiful! I really do miss having a kitty
ReplyDeleteYou need to rescue a kitty from a shelter! You'd be doing both of you a favor!
