Duck

As I was thinking about my entry for "duck" in
Mr. Toast's Creative Tuesday assignment, I was
doing dishes in the kitchen. And this little duck
caught my eye...my little nail brush!
He sits in a bowl of draining stones along with
other scrubbies and soaps.
If you want to see what other's did to paint,
draw or doodle "duck", click HERE!
Or join in ~ entries are due this Tuesday!

  4. Well, that's how the bowl looks sitting at my kitchen sink. I didn't arrange it for the drawing. Although, I will confess to swapping out the old SOS pad for a new one. :)

  5. That is the prettiest kitchen cleaning supplies arragnement I've ever seen! LOL! Even with an old S.O.S. pad it would have been pretty.

This sound like a fun meme, I'm going to go visit.

  11. This is great! An everyday object which is part of our lives, arranged as prettily as a bunch of flowers. This is a really good idea and a very pretty image.

  13. Love the drawing. Looks quite "piccasso'ish". I know it's difficult to get the perspective right with things like bowls, vases and similar objects, I can never get it right! 10/10 for artistic merit.

  15. Adorable and your drawing is great!

I wonder if my kiddos would be more likely to scrub their nails if I had a sweet looking brush like yours!???

  16. Wanda ~ it's colored pencils. If I was to do watercolors, I'd need some lessons from you!

  17. Keith ~ well, thank you. I do struggle with the dimension and proportion aspects. I see my bowl is a little lopsided! LOL! I need some lessons and keep hinting to a friend but haven't received any yet!

  18. Oh, that's very cute! You need to open an etsy shop for postcards.
You could call it (wait for it!) Betsy-Etsy!

  20. Ya Betsy another winner for you and us. I like it a lot. Using what is sitting around in front of you is one the the things my teacher keeps encouraging us to do. If you have public TV you can find any kind of art class you want. On Wednesday on my PBS station at 10 AM EST, there is a superb watercolorist. I will look up his name and send you an email. He is so good and so calm and an excellent teacher. That is if you want it.

  29. How cute is that! If Sparky were here, I could have had her draw something. She's got quite the artistic ability. Hubby, too. But he's in Texas, so that's shot too.

  33. Corners ~ they aren't anything special...just a handful of small stones from my yard. The soaps and brillo pad last longer that way.

  34. Cute little duckie. I'm loving seeing your sketches for a change.
