This sweet little guy is my paternal Grandfather!
Chester L. Hanna, 1917
When I was given this picture of my grandpa, I
immediately thought of my son, Harry!
'Cause, you see....sitting in boxes must be in the genes!
We have over a dozen shots of Harry ....
at various times in his childhood... sitting in boxes and baskets!
Apparently it skips a couple of generations. :)

Or maybe it's just that he was the one that was supposed to be named after your grandpa Chester...remember Harry Chester?
ReplyDeleteKayren ~ yes, haha...he WAS! But it just didn't work out! hee! They have a connection anyway!
ReplyDeleteThose are the sweetest pictures!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! They're both adorable.
ReplyDelete(Come meet my brother, Tim.)
How adorable! It would be cute to make a collage of all of them with your grandpa and his box in the middle.
ReplyDeleteDawn ~ I've thought about a little scrap book...maybe some year in my spare time. LOL!
ReplyDeleteDarling pictures! Harry is following in his Great-Grandpa's shoes.
ReplyDeleteThe Hanna men all have those great blue eyes, don't they? Happy Sepia Saturday. BTW...I'll be posting a special sepia photo on Sunday in honor of a special birthday...
Yes, Harry must be following in his Great Grandpa foot steps and look at those shoes on Grandpa!
ReplyDeleteVery cute!

ReplyDeleteI adore that first photo, it is fantastic! And, Harry, what a cutie... does he still try to find tight places?!

ReplyDeleteBetsy, you and Willow have the best old family photos! Your granddads picture is a classic. Harry was such a cutie all snug in his baskets. I'm loving Sepia Saturday.
ReplyDeleteThat is so adorable. Maybe he will be a "BASKET" PLAYER.
ReplyDeleteI have had so many Google problems-and it isn't over-Google has no idea how to solve the problem.
Sorry I haven't been by much-I decided after weeks and weeks of non-stop Google issues, I am throwing my hands up and making much needed visits.
I hope you have a Very Merry Christmas and hope you can come by for a visit.

Christmas blessings heading your way, my sweet cute niece!

cute pictures indeed but I had to laugh at that title--"grandpa in the box" --first thing i thought of-- a cedar box for burial! Well, he probably is in some sort of box now as I suspect most of us will be down the road unless we want everyhthing just burned up but that is not to my liking, anyway.
ReplyDeleteI love the photos and memories. So much can be said and read from one. Beautiful. Hope you're having a good weekend. :)
ReplyDeletetoo cute! maybe it is genetic...haha.
ReplyDeleteBetsy..I love Sepia Saturday..I'll be checking it out after the holidays..
ReplyDeleteWanted to stop by and tell you how much I have enjoyed getting to know you this year..and looking forward to more in the new year...
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, dear friend...
