visit Susan at Between Naps on the Porch!
The stripey wallpaper and floral border
was screaming 1980's to me....it had to GO!
Fortunately, most of it pulled off very nicely!
Taupe walls and fresh white woodwork called
for a beach theme. I distressed the frames...
...and used shells from my enormous collection.
The type tray had hung here empty for years.
Now it has some interest to it!
I like that it has a theme and looks
complete, like any other room in the house.
Much better!
It looks wonderful! I love the type trays.
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing that wallpaper is coming back but after scraping it off my walls, I never want to put it up again. Bet you feel the same!
Mari ~ I do feel the same...only paint for me! ha!
ReplyDeleteNice work, Betsy! I love what you did with your shells... I can't think of a better way to show them off!
ReplyDeleteLove the new look. The pictures of the boys at the beach are darling... and I love what you did with the shells.
ReplyDeleteI froze the last of the turkey today. That was all that was left. That will be Turkey soup, or maybe pot pies in January or Feb.
Have a great week Betsy ~~
