I mostly collect green and white, but a few other colors sometimes sneak in.
And a new collection has started.....antique original water color paintings of
landscape, cottages and water.
Here's a peak at the green shelves in my studio.
♥
Oooh! I always like what you collect. I really like those old paintings.
ReplyDeleteMe, too....the style, topic and soft colors get me every time!
DeleteOh my goodness, Girlfriend! It is all SO lovely! Your display is so pretty, Betsy.
ReplyDeleteI wish you could have been with us Friday night. McCoy Pottery planters and vases galore! I came home with four vases!
Oh, my....I would have been in heaven! haha. So fun!
DeleteYour collections are so beautiful and unique. The watercolors I love (guess you know why) HaHa. And I love the Mid Century pottery is exquisite. So this came home, and didn't stay at your booth? I'm so glad you are back sharing with us your treasures. I'm always looking for pottery from Italy and Portugal. I have several really nice bowls.
ReplyDeleteRight....these I've collected over the years and weren't purchases to sell. Most of them I got at auctions. I knew you would love the watercolors! That first one is 100 years old. I met the son of the lady who painted it. Made it all the more special!
DeleteNice . . :)
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteHi Betsy - everything always looks so clean and tidy ... I admire you! Your colour schemes are always delightful - restful and interesting ... so much to catch the eye - enjoy and I look forward to seeing more - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteI used to gravitate toward blue but green is really taking over here! haha.
DeleteBeautiful vignettes Betsy!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Arlene.... :)
DeleteOooo, that pottery is amazing, looks wonderful ! I like old watercolours too, the gentle soft tones are lovely.
ReplyDeleteOf course you do! You're the master! :)
DeleteIt's all beautiful...I REALLY love the colorful little pots in the last photo. Great colors! =D
ReplyDeleteTHanks...hey...how are you? I've tried many times to leave comments on your blog and
Deletecan't! No comments allowed?
I wondered if your preference for green might be meaningful... here's what one site on color psychology had to say:
ReplyDelete"A person who likes the green color will always be a lovable and nurturing individual. The positive vibe given by the color will make (her) protect anything that is alive. (She) will also have a natural state of balance, with qualities of good observer, listener and counselor in hard times. This person will be a loving parent for (her) children and have a beautiful home, surrounded by a charming garden and pets." Sounds accurate to me!
Wow, I'll say! haha. Love this! :) Thanks for sharing!
DeleteSo beautiful! You always know just how to arrange things. I wish I had that talent.

You are too kind, Laurie. :) Thank you.
DeleteBetsy, you have the most amazing collections. I truly love them all, and those delicious vintage watercolors are the very best.
ReplyDeleteI must go back and study the photos again.
Sue
The watercolors are the best! They are small...just the right size for the shelves. I would love to know the stories behind them and where they were and what the inspiration was!
