So far, we've had the best luck with slipping the pill in a spoonfull of ice cream. So I told her to take them with a spoon full of cream of wheat or something of that texture... it worked .. she was amazed. It all goes back to when my dad forced me to take adult-sized vitamins as a kid. I took them with spoonfuls of applesauce, but it wasn't easy and I developed a life-long aversion as a result.<br />Even when I had my root-canals done as a teen and they had to give me seconal pills, I took them with jelly.<br />Some days they just slip right down and I don't notice, but other days, I'm still gagging.<br /><br />Good work with your boys, Betsy. We started putting the in applesause then moved on from there. She always had liquid meds but hated the tastes and it was a constant fight to get them down her.<br /><br />My 17 year-old son still won't swallow a pill even in food. He thinks he will choke.
