Vintage Spring Brooches and Pins

I've shown you my little winter collection several times.
This little spring collection came together recently,
just in time for the new season.  I especially love that
little umbrella.  I might have to borrow it to wear on
a sweater some time soon!

  2. Very pretty, Betsy. When I see brooches I always think of my grandmother. She was a farmer's wife, so she didn't go out from the farm much, BUT when she did she always found a brooch that would go with the dress she was wearing. :)

Love the little turquoise bird! I bought a little bird Wednesday...at the craft store...and he is not nearly as cute as yours, but he keeps me company while I do the dishes. I planted a succulent in it. :)

    1. It rained here this morning, too...just a little. Then it was actually warm enough to open up the house for the first time. Heavenly. Chilly now, though, and windows are closed. Sure enjoyed that, though!

  12. I can't decide which is my favorite since they are all so cute! I have a handful off bee brooches. Fun thing to collect. Spiders always get a comment when they are worn! Not as sweet as your collection though. HOpe you are having a great weekend.

  14. Sweet brooches. Seems they are just not worn as much as year back. Remember "scatter pins", I still have a couple of them. I must say I do have a box of brooches I never wear....what's wrong with me...I should pull them out and use them, or give them away.

  16. Oooh these are all adorable. I rarely see broaches anymore, nor anyone wearing them. I have a gold leaf that I love from my mom. I guess it was just a simple Avon broach, but I will always cherish it. Of this lot I love everything, especially the umbrella and bird.
