    1. haha...nope..quite the opposite! lol...I think since my life is so chaotic, my coping mechanism is to notice little glimpses of the simple and beautiful.

    2. Yes, I am somewhat familiar with that strategy, though I sometimes forget to use it.
      It's a 1000 Gifts kind of thing.

    1. Isn't he sweet? Aw. He was in a group of glass figurines...cats, elephants, etc. Some other lady was bidding against me and I went WAY higher than I had intended and finally dropped out since she was determined to get them. Later in the day she was sitting by herself and I went over and asked her what piece she was wanting so badly in that group to bid so high and she said she had wanted the elephants! So, I asked if she would be interested in selling me the bird and she said yes! She didn't ask very much for it, either. A win/win for both of us! :)

  6. I believe I have the original of your little bird. Mine is Royal Copenhagen, only 1 and 1/2 inches tall, and the colors are more muted. It belonged to one of my aunts. Right now I'm using it with 2 white felt Christmas trees. Samantha looks like the holiday season has worn her out. Lynne in NC

    1. I think you may be right! My little bird says Denmark on it and it's numbered. It's the same size as yours! I think you're right about Samantha. Right after I took that picture, she hopped down and got into her felt cave, as if to say I was bothering her. ha.
