Feathered Freeze Tag

68 comments:

  1. Well I do believe I am first tonight.
Freeze Tag! Was not familiar with that. We used to play just tag. Am I right in saying the catcher has to catch everyone to win it?
Great photos and dialogue beayutifully captured.

    1. You are first!

If the catcher touches you, you have to freeze in the position you were in while being tagged. He keeps going until everyone is frozen. But this little bird got back to home base just before being tagged. :)

    2. Clever little bird.
So logic says when it is freezing cold, like in Ohio, it is so cold that everyone freezes!!! ROFL
No we did not play this at school - just tag! PObviously not cold enough LOL

    3. It's freezing today, that's for sure. Had a little snow this morning.

    4. Are you experiencing a normal winter or is it colder and more snowy than normal. Another good friend says it snows a lot in Maryland, about the same lattitude. Oh! meant to ask you the other day. Were the Cherokee indians living further south near Oklahoma? I think they were a very large tribe.

    5. Can't stop laughing about that little bird saying it is bored!!
Feel like telling it to do a crossword or a sudoku puzzle. lol

    6. off to serve dinner to the men....be back later!

    7. Yes, they were a very large tribe. The group I was from was in Tennessee, I believe.

Yes, we are having colder temps and more snow than usual. It's been lovely!

haha....that bird just looked like he was thinking that. Funny face!

    8. Another part of freeze tag is that if you are tagged and frozen you can be thawed by another person who is not frozen. So, they can come and touch you and then you are free again. And I think the last player to become frozen becomes 'It' in the next round. It's been a while since I played it! haha.

      Delete
    9. Crumbs. 'IT' must have a tremendously hard task to freeze everyone if as fast as he does so others are thawing the ones he painstainly froze. He must be 'boiling!' with rage!!! - No-one will want to be 'IT'!! ROFL RPoor little Cardinal would rather be bored I think.

    10. It does sound like a bunch of trouble, doesn't it? Maybe because we are old and slower now. haha. I remember it being great fun when I was a girl. Hide-n-Seek was the best, though!

    11. OLD!!! . . . . . speak for yourself!!! ROFL. There's lots of petrol still in my tank!! LOL
Oh Gawd we all have a load of fun here don't we?
      Yes, as kids hide and Seek was OK . . . . . oh and "Knock out Ginger" and . . . . . . sometimes "Postman's Knock" LOL

      Delete
    12. Well, you may not be old, but I am! haha. At least I feel it, especially tonight. Might have to turn in early and rest my old bones. lol....
I don't think I'm familiar with your Knock games. The only Knock I know are Knock-knock jokes.

      Delete
    13. Just joking of course - yes knock-knock jokes. Loke to hear just one!!

      Knock Knock
      Who's there
      Boo
      Boo Who
No need to cry it's only a joke!!

    14. You were kidding? lol....I was about to google those games and see what they were!...and who Ginger was! lol...
Alright...I'm signing off soon. Can't stop yawning! Sweet dreams!

    1. It could have been something similar like "Frozen Tag." Big difference, huh? Ha.

    2. Listen, Mr. Fox. It might have been called Stuck-In-The-Mud. Does that ring your bell? Not to be confused with stick-in-the-mud, mind you.

    3. I went to Wikipedia and looked up alternative names for freeze tag. None looked familiar. I guess I'll be sticking with frozen tag. But thanks for trying!

    4. How is it that so many people have not heard of Freeze Tag? That was a great game! You could get unfrozen if someone was quick enough to "untag" you before they were frozen.

      Delete
    5. Exactly! I looked it up...it's very common in Europe, too. I loved it as a kid!

  7. I'm pretty sure that I would have frozen a long time ago in the winter that you have had this year, never mind standing around playing tag!! Looks as though the birds are enjoying themselves though!! xx

  13. My stars! My sides are splitting at that first photo! Bored indeed! I'm stealing that for my screensaver. You don't mind, do you Sunshine? That will make me laugh every time I see it! You certainly do have beautiful birds. Stunning shots and a witty dialogue. I can't wait to see what you can do with that new camera. I know you are looking forward to your class starting. I loved playing tag as a child. But Hide and Go Seek was my favorite!

    Admiring you from afar,

  17. Nice pictures. The only live Cardinal I have ever seen was in a cage at the zoo.

I see it's still snowing in the Colonies, it's an early Spring here, the daffodils are out, the crocuses are out, the cherry blossom is out, and the train drivers are out; for more money!
