    1. I'm just about to make a cup of tea! Yes, toasty inside! But black as night outside already! This time change is hard to get used to! lol....

    2. It's getting dark here at 5 pm too. It was raining today, so I put a little pork roast in the oven, and we just finished dinner. Love those oven dinners on chilly days. House smelled so good.

    3. Oh, me too...love that...and soup is back on the menu. We've been having a lot of homemade soup. I made a huge pot and we eat it for 2-3 days. ha. I don't know if that's being lazy or frugal or both. haha.

    4. Soup, yes... I need to make some soon. Another favorite of Don's is Chili and Cornbread.

    5. mmmm...yes! We had that earlier this week!

Wanda I made a new cookie recipe today to put up in the freezer for Christmas and it wasn't that good. Ugh. All that work. haha. I think I'll stick to my favorites from now on. Tomorrow we will try again. They won't go to waste, though, ...Taylor likes them. :)

    6. Maybe that's why I hate to try some new recipes. In fact today it was my old standby, Chocolate Chip with nuts. I took some to the gals at the Thrift Store, maybe that's why I found such a great bargain. I just posted it!!!! If I were closer I'd try one...but Taylor can enjoy them for me.

    7. Well, it wasn't a great loss. I mean, if it was 2 days before Christmas, I'd be more irritated. haha.

How sweet to take cookies to the thrift store! What a great idea. Remember your thoughtfulness at the checkout in the grocery last year and paying for that woman's cat food? I was thinking of that just today when The Mister told me over dinner that he paid the lunch tab for the table next to him in the restaurant. :) I helped a lady find her car in a parking lot the other day. Just little things, but they mean a lot, I think. It's fun to be a little spreader of sunshine, isn't it? :)

      ok..I'm really rambling now! lol!

  8. I love the frosty air and all the frosty things outside. I talked to a man today at our local Wal-Mart from Staten Island. He said they had 10 inches of snow last night! Wow! and that after being out of electricity for a week! I would have been happy to take it off of their hands!

    4. well I don't know where it originates from. I just know they eat a lot of it here!

I made one and froze it for the guys to take along to the hunting cabin for breakfast and it's still here at home in the freezer along with the garlic bread that was meant to go with their Chili. sigh I guess they'll have a sweet treat to enjoy when they get home. lol

  9. Very interesting how each of your boys can react differently to the same supplement. Glad that two of them are doing great on it. What benefits have you seen with them?

    1. They seem to have a longer period of concentration, and seem to understand what I'm saying..they respond correctly the first time without me having to repeat myself. Too bad it didn't work for Harry, but I'm glad it was an easy fix. :)

  13. We have finally cooled down into the 60's for a few days, not enough for a frost but it is nice to be cool and to stop using the A/C. Maybe my electric bill will finally go down. I think that is such a great picture and almost makes me miss having such cold weather but then again maybe I will just enjoy the great pictures you post. Funny how you mention soups and that is the theme for this weeks Theme Thursday. Thought it would be fun to do something different this week. Soups are so good. I sure do hope you share your recipes with us. Love your recipes.

    God bless.

    1. 60 degrees is just about perfect, I think. I love it when you can open up the house, turn off the A/C and enjoy it like that. Hopefully it will stay like that for you for a while! You might even enjoy soup at that temperature! ha.

  17. Looks like the icing or "frosting" on a cake! Wow, I'm pretty smart for it being so early in the morning and all. :) We're having a cool down in our weather today also. It's only supposed to get in the 70's! I'm so excited and looking for a sweater. I LOVE sweater weather.
