good for you Betsy is absolutely beauty!!
Look at you being first! :)
Your photos are getting so gorgeous, someday they may be as beautiful as the photographer. :)
:) thanks, silver.
I need something like that here we have ton of birds but the dogs you know:( but if they see food they will stay I think!
yes, there is always a risk if you have pets...but for the most part, the birds are wise!
I know sometimes I saw the birds so quiet and the dogs dont notice:)
Oh, haha...and at least the dogs can't climb the trees...our cats always do!
Yes but I read other day you hav eto take care with the cats and birds, is instintive want hunting (the cats)
oh yes,...that is so true...I've witnessed it more than I'd want to!
thanks, dear. :)
yay! glad you have some occupants for your bird feeder...only a matter of time...and a handsome one as well...smiles
I'm glad Mr. and Mrs Cardinal has stuck it out...they've been here all through the winter and lost their eggs to that snack this spring. Poor things! they are a sweet couple!
It's so fun to watch the birds. Glad they discovered this feeder.PS - remember the giveaway I was doing for the restaurant? Would you believe your number was the first one pulled? Then I had to redraw so someone who could use it would win. What a bummer to have your name drawn this time!
Oh, yes that IS too bad! But I knew there wasn't one near me...I did a search to find out. They looked SO good...love me a good burger with fries! yum!
It was so fun to see her today!
Seems a bit pre-occupied thoughSearching for cats to show?Or posing for youAnd nice movie rip off too haha
I knew you'd like the movie linethat I used so sublime.:)
Yep those I always seeFew escape me
They came and they will continue feed at that beautiful feeder. What a handsome looking bird! Do you know what kind of bird it is?
yes, it's Mrs. Cardinal...you know, from the love couple that was here through the winter? :)
Oh Yea! It's the female, right? They have a permanent home now.
Yes! Mrs. :) I hope they stay forever!
So very sweet. I love to see Cardinals out and about.
This couple has been around forever! I've really enjoyed them!
I was waiting for the update on your feeder :) LOL Glad to see that you have some new visitors coming around.
You're so nice to be happy for me. haha..You're just glad they are here and not there! lol....
Yes...on that note...I think you should make a lot of feeders and attract all the birds in the world AWAY from me.Did I tell you that we had two red tailed hawks nesting on the top of the building that I work for?? One employee walked into the building with sunglasses on. The hawk saw it's reflection and thought it was another hawk. IT ATTACKED!!!! The woman had her ear near ripped off and was rushed to the hospital. The birds were then sedated and moved upstate. Both SCARY and sad at the same time.
Seriously? Saw it's reflection in her sunglasses? Did she have them on top of her head? You'll never get over your fear of birds now! haha...oh dear!
the feeder, the bird, lovely indeed but what I love best is the cheerful dappled sunshine. It's such a happy thing!
that was this afternoon....we've had a couple of really lovely days! Still warm but without the humidity, it's very nice!
Your last line cracked me up...if you fill it....they WILL come!
yep....it took them a few days but they found it! :)
Ahhh... the reward is indeed sweet. :)
ah...you know the feeling! :)
They may still mate again...they usually have a couple of sets of eggsWe have a little chickadee family flitting around the yard the last few days...4 babies!!!They are so cute...flapping their small wings and clinging to anything they can reach...so cute..Have a great day...another hot one here, and the humidity going up again for the weekend...more swimming I guess!!Cheers!Linda :o)
aw...I bet the chickadees are so fun to see! I've never had them nest here...how sweet!
Your Ohio birds are so beautiful and colorful...my CA birds are sweet, but not very colorful. This picture is just awesome...I must repeat again, Betsy... I want to see all these in a Calendar for 2013, and I'm putting in my order now....I had the saddest day yesterday, and part of it is about a little bird...check out my blog today.
aw..I'm sorry...hope today is better! I have a ton of blogs to catch up on...I'll be by to visit today.
Yay! And I'm sure you will have many more "customers" at your darling little feeder.
I hope it becomes a busy little place! :)
You have def. filled it up! I have tried feeding birds but never seem to see the food I put down for them. I should fill it up more like you have done here!
Oh..I always put it clear to the top...that way you don't have to go fill it as often! ha.
chicken pizza sounds sooo good :) Im hungry!!
it's in the oven right now...smelling wonderful!
I have to make a chiken pizza sound nice!
Yes they certainly fill. Now days I fill it and fill it and fill it! lol
and they certainly come!
All I know is that I said that hawk was looking at us like food and no one believed me!! Now they all believe. Sigh...
man...what a wild story~ how long ago did that happen? I tried to find it online!
And they will soon tell all their friends where the latest restaurant is!
haha..I hope so!
Very nice. I've always felt the female cardinal's beauty is under-rated due to the brilliance of the male. But she has such a soft buff color - she's absolutely beautiful.
AngelMay??? Where have you been, girl!? :) I agree about Mrs. Cardinal...she's lovely!
We have a bird feeder, too, complete with a screen to keep squirrels away. I really enjoy watching the birds come and go to have a bite to eat. NOTE: Predictable, lame joke to follow. We haven't had any cardinals, though. A few popes, but no cardinals.
Hey Al, thanks for stopping by. Love the warning...or disclaimer. Hope your birthday was wonderful!
Oh what a fine feathered beauty! Yay! Take carex
Isn't she? Her mister has come around, too. :)
I'm serving coffee! Stay and chat! And no awards, please! Your comments are my awards!
