What I Did Wednesday #28

  1. Bagged the wedding favor cookies and tied with ribbon.  300 bags and 150 yards of ribbon.  I felt like I was almost done, but it still took my 5 hours to do this last step!
  2. The washer broke Saturday.  Repair man came Tuesday.  It's more cost effective to buy a new one, which is coming tomorrow.
  3. Fortunately, I had all the laundry caught up the day the washer broke, so I've only had to do 2 small washes in the sink.
  4. Dusted 2 rooms.
  5. Added water to the outdoor fountain.  This is in a courtyard outside our bedroom.  I love the sound of the water in the night.  The Mister says it keeps him awake!  He had to go out and unplug it last night. ha.
  6. Watered the tomato plants.  They still haven't been planted!  Too busy this week!  Socks seems to be guarding them. ha.
  7. Cleaned the bathrooms, restocked the essentials.
  8. Noticed the rosebushes are blooming!  These are Carefree Delights.  Love them!

Did you have a nice day?
Lovely weather here...comfortable breezes...perfect for having the windows open.
Tomorrow I work an auction.  Hope there's lots of neat stuff in the trash. :)

Congratulations on getting it done! I always love getting a new washing machine... makes doing laundry seem fun for a few weeks! been a long time since I've gotten a new one. ;) blessings ~ Tanna

  18. Years and years ago I sometimes washed a load or two of laundry in my bathtub. I wrung them out the best I could and then ran outside and hung them on the line. We were living in Albuquerque and the dry desert air dried them in no time. Even dripping blue jeans were dry in half an hour. I don't know why anyone down there would ever buy a clothes dryer.

  22. Betsy ~ I'm licking my chops....I put a pork roast on the grill tonight and it turned out so good. I decided this afternoon to do it...so didn't have time to marinate it, but stuffed it with apple slices and dried prunes. I just had to put a picture on my blog and give you the credit. Keep those good ideas coming...dinner was a delight.

Thanks again for all your good advice on my future blogging. The Lord is giving me some good ideas, but I'm taking it slow to be sure the direction.

  23. You've been seriously busy doing wonderful and industrious things. On the other hand, I've been doing boring things *wink* like birthday shopping for my daughter and eating out. I know you feel sorry for me and I thank you for that.

Hey, appreciate the reminder on the tomato plants. I'll relay the info to my husband and see if we can't get some planted this Memorial weekend. I usually make stewed tomatoes from the batch he brings in.
