Aaagh! You are a better person than I am!They look great and I know you're glad to be done. :)
really, really glad to be done. haha.
Omg Congrats dear are georgeod and I know was a lot of work, well done dear look beauty!
thanks, dear. My back hurts. haha. But they turned out fine...I just make them like they ask me to, so this was their choice. Tomorrow is the easy part!
yes the back is the worst! at last you will sleep fine Betsy lol
Wow! I'm certain I would need a very long backrub after all that! They look wonderful! I like the edges!
I know...I'm not sure what it is about that kind of work, but it's awful on the back muscles. ha. The kitchen sure has smelled good, though!
They look great and I'm sure they taste yummy....
Since I've nibbled on more than my share of 'rejects', I can tell you that they are good. haha.
You're up mighty late little lady ... nice work! I wrote a Poetry Jam poem about Carl/bullying you might enjoy at Poetry Matters.
well, you know I'd love to read that...thanks for letting me know! :)
You know how to make a Wedding special. Favors you can eat are the best..who wants a little jar of bubbles when you can have a Betsy cookie. They are beautiful...
well, I only did what the bride ordered, so she gets that credit! :)
You are soooo talented! Did your hand get tired when you put the "design" on? (Mine hand is tired just thinking about it)I need to catch up on all the blogs I follow....My husband has had me busy planting the garden. And I have "found" free books to read on my Kindle Fire...read a whole book today...so I didn't get much else done. 8~)Take care,Nancy
yes it did...ugh...and that is such a pain..pun intended. haha. Oooh...good for you getting your garden in! I bought plants but they are not in the ground yet! The Mister is addicted to his Kindle. :)
What a work !Best regards from Paris,Pierre
thanks, pierre! :)
Wow... you've been one busy baker! They look great, congrats to the lucky couple.
yep..busy! Now I need to catch up on the housework! haha.
I love the lacing, they look delicious. Hey, you know, I was going to mention this the other day but never did…you had mentioned in a post someplace that you make baskets, what kind, just curious…I was driving around today and I heard someone talking about handbaskets, whatever that actually is, and I was reminded
I do have a little gift basket business here in my home. But it's more of filling a basket with gifts instead of making the actual basket. If you click on 'gift baskets' in my label cloud you'll see what I mean. I've been doing it for 20 years...it's really been a good experience!
Kudos! They are beautiful--and delicious too!Best,Bonnie
thanks, bonnie! Fun to do...fun to be done! ha.
I am licking the screen. :-)Take carex
haha...well, better your screem than mine! lol...
Oh my! I wonder if you will dream about cookies tonight. :) They are so delicate looking! and yummy--I forgot to say yummy. :)
I didn't dream about cookies...I slept so hard, I don't think I dreamed at all! lol!

It has smelled SO good! ha.
Have to tell you this. While scrolling down on the pictures (yes the screen to my notebook is that small) the picture with the C cookies on the left hand side looked like they were marching towards me!

8 lbs of butter3 dozen eggs...oh, what am I doing? You aren't going to make these! hahaha
3 dozen eggs? That's half of my country's egg supplies LOL :p
Very pretty, Betsy. Lots of work involved to make that many. My daughter got married in March--I cheated and bought 300 decorated cookies for wedding favors. I'm always impressed with the lovely, creative decorating- I'm on Pinterest and see tons of absolutely the cutest, most detailed decorated cookies--too cute to eat!!! Mickie :)
oh, you didn't cheat...that's what this mother-of-the-bride did...she bought them from me!
Almost too nice to eat! Well done again!
oh don't say that...they taste good, too! ha.
They turned out beautifully. But what a lot of work. My back would be breaking. Great job and I know they everyone will "ooh" and "ahh" over them.
I hope they do...I'm sure that's what the bride wants them to do anyway! Thanks, Magpie. :)
Wow, the cookies look great! I would never have the patience to make even a dozen of them, let alone 300. Very nice!
thanks, yuji. :) But I consider you a very patient person! ha.
"I do," huh? Just be glad they weren't for my wedding. They would have said "I'm thinking it over!"
Wow. I can just imagine how badly that would go over..you in a flower-filled gazebo saying you'll think about it!
Yeah, but then again, if I go so far as to reserve that gazebo... I've obviously made up my mind... in the positive. Hell, I'd probably renew my vows for this one someday, if I could just find the right place. Somewhere exotic...
Hey Betsy:Get off your lazy a~~ and do some work....geesh...what a lay about you are!!! :o)Hope you have a great day...packaging those delightful goodies...Great Job...Cheers!Linda :o)

thank you, claire! :)
This is the mother of the bride for whom the cookies were made...Betsy, they were fabulous! Thanks so much for all your hard work. I've had lots of compliments on them, too. Had a few left over, so we've frozen some for the bride & groom for later. So glad we went with this idea.Since these were handed out following the ceremony and not at the reception, we had a few funny comments, like, "So, this is new...are we supposed to crumble them up and throw them at the bride & groom as they depart?"
Well, hello there, Ms. Anonymous. :) I'm so glad you were happy with them! :) Crumble them and throw them like rice...now that would have been weird! hahaha. Thanks so much for asking me! And I'm glad you left a comment here...it's always nice to know who is reading! :)
Wow, 300 vanilla cookies? I could die right now!:) They're not only yummy to eat but are also cheap wedding favors to give to the guests. I want to have them on my wedding day! :)
I'm serving coffee! Stay and chat! And no awards, please! Your comments are my awards!
